Project Description

Grantee Profile: PlatteForum

Established in 2002, PlatteForum offers visual arts-based youth development programs for vulnerable youth, and offers public access to high quality artistic experiences. Innovative programs bring together resident artists with youth and the broader community to nurture self-expression, discovery and personal growth.

In 2015, PlatteForum moved to The Temple, an historic, redeveloped affordable space for working artists, creative businesses, and nonprofits. As the anchor tenant at the Temple, Platte Forum has taken a leadership role in activating its space to support Temple artists and engage the community.

Bonfils-Stanton Foundation offers support for creative and collaborative programming that highlights the Temple artists and proactively engages the surrounding neighborhoods. Exhibitions, artist talks and a new experiential artist festival are among the funded activities.
