Grantee Profile: Lighthouse Writers Workshop
Lighthouse Writers Workshop was founded in 1997 by writers who wanted to create a literary community in Denver by providing high-quality, low cost creative writing workshops, as well as literary events that engage and connect writers.
Lighthouse Writers Workshop has become a community-based literary center that supports and inspires the creation of new literature, advocates for the value of sharing stories, facilitates thoughtful community dialogues and grows the audience for literary arts. The organization offers four main programs: Adult writing programs; visiting author events; community literary events; and youth programming.
>Bonfils-Stanton Foundation supports Lighthouse Writers Workshop’s launch and support of the re-envisioned 2017-18 season of the Writer’s Studio. Launched in 2002, the Writer’s Studio gives emerging writers and avid readers the chance to interact with top-tier as well as up-and-coming authors.
