Project Description

Grantee Profile: Levitt Pavilion Denver

When completed in 2017, the Levitt Pavilion Denver will be located in Ruby Hill Park and will become the seventh Levitt Pavilion, joining host cities such as Pasadena, Los Angeles, Memphis and Arlington. Levitt Pavilion’s mission focuses on building community through music.

Levitt Pavilion Denver will produce 50 free concerts annually, ranging from acclaimed, emerging talent to seasoned, award-winning artists. The family-friendly venue will also be available for use by schools, arts organizations and other nonprofits. Its state-of-the-art amphitheater will have a relaxed, open lawn setting that will accommodate 7,500 attendees with local food vendors, and easy access to transportation and bike paths.

Bonfils-Stanton Foundation has helped with the capital campaign to construct the 63,450 square foot outdoor amphitheater in Ruby Hill. The Foundation also supports their business model to feature Colorado-based artists in at least half of the shows. The balance will showcase regional, national and international performers representing diverse genres of music and other performing arts.

Levitt Pavilion Denver will also offer a paid summer internship program for at-risk youths in partnership with Youth on Record, Swallow Hill Music and the University of Colorado Denver’s Music & Entertainment Industry Studies Department.
