Grantee Profile: Institute for Leaders in Development
The Institute for Leaders in Development (ILD) at the University of Denver is a unique professional development program that identifies Colorado’s emerging nonprofit fundraising leaders and prepares them for the future. Now in its ninth year, ILD provides continuing education for mid-career development professionals in order to build a sustainable pipeline of nonprofit leaders in the field. ILD is unlike any other nonprofit professional development program in Colorado. The program combines professionally relevant curriculum, a custom-paired mentorship program and a required Capstone project – which reinforces the real-world nature of the program through the creation of a plan addressing an existing development challenge.
ILD is an official institute of University College at the University of Denver. The mission of ILD is to elevate Colorado’s emerging fundraising leaders by providing opportunities that promote longevity in the field and excellence in philanthropy. Bonfils-Stanton Foundation is proud to offer ILD with general operating support.
