Project Description

Grantee Profile: Denver Brass

Since 1981, Denver Brass has been delighting diverse Denver audiences as one of the premier ensembles of its kind. The classically-trained brass chamber, featuring 13 distinct brass instruments plus percussion, performs its own original compositions and arrangements in more than 150 concerts per year. Denver Brass has 24 recordings on major labels and is heard daily on radio stations around the world.

Denver Brass continues to strive to engage audiences on multiple levels by breaking down barriers between audiences and artists. The Denver Brass’ mission is about bringing the highest-quality brass performances to a diverse and always expanding audience through full-scale shows, engaging community and outreach concerts, educational offerings and more.

Bonfils-Stanton Foundation supports Denver Brass’ two-year initiative “Denver Brass: The Next Generation,” which seeks to move the company into a new frontier of musical creation and marketing.
