Grantee Profile: Colorado Ballet
Colorado Ballet is recognized as one of the top ballet companies in the country, and an integral part of the cultural life of our community. There are three programmatic elements of Colorado Ballet: the professional company performs full-length classical ballets and contemporary works, the education and community engagement programs reach underserved communities, and the Colorado Ballet Academy provides instruction to children and adults.
Gil Boggs is the Artistic Director for Colorado Ballet. He is a former principal with the American Ballet Theatre and has worked with many notable choreographers including Agnes de Mille, Paul Taylor, Sir Kenneth MacMillan, Mark Morris and Jerome Robbins.
Bonfils-Stanton Foundation supports general operations, including this season’s productions of Swan Lake and The Nutcracker, as well as three pieces featured in MasterWorks—two of which have never been performed by Colorado Ballet.
