Grantee Profile: Children’s Museum of Denver
Since 1973, the Children’s Museum of Denver has been on a mission to create extraordinary experiences that champion the wonder and joy of childhood.
The interactive exhibits and activities at the Museum are especially geared for ages newborn through eight years old, and foster a lifelong love for learning. The Museum also helps parents and caregivers understand their critical role in early education, and provides tools to assist with teaching kids at home and on the go.
Last year, the Children’s Museum of Denver served more than 359,000 children and their grown-ups and was ranked as one of the top 12 children’s museums in the country by Forbes magazine.
Bonfils-Stanton Foundation helps support arts-rich experiences for children and their families through the Art Studio. This exhibit offers hands-on activities that fully immerse visitors in the creative process. Included in the Art Studio adventure is painting in several forms, a clay studio with a kiln, and engagement with professional artists through the Artist-in-Residence Program.
