Meet Harry

While Harry Budisidharta is relatively new in his position as CEO of Asian Pacific Development Center (APDC), he is not new to the organization. Harry’s nine-year history began as a youth program volunteer, then moved to service as a board member, which next led to a staff position in 2015 as a Health Policy Advocate, and most recently as Deputy Director before stepping in as CEO in July 2017. APDC is a community-based organization founded in 1980 to serve the Asian American and Pacific Islander population throughout Colorado. Harry also works with government officials and community organizations to address health disparities in the refugee and immigrant communities.

Before joining APDC, Harry was a partner at Balaban, Claeson & Budisidharta, LLP. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from California State University of Los Angeles, and his Juris Doctor from University of Colorado Law School. Due to his extensive experience working with the refugee and immigrant communities, he has been quoted by The Wall Street Journal, The Denver Post, The Aurora Sentinel, Law Week Colorado, and Asian Avenue Magazine.

Harry’s many awards include the 2017 ADA Access Award from Colorado Cross-Disability Coalition; 2014 Young Hero Award – Asian American Heroes; 2012 Governor Ralph Carr Service Award for his substantial commitment to community service; 2012 Mayor’s Diversity Award for his community service and his advocacy work on behalf of the refugee community; and 2006 Legal Aid Award for his outstanding commitment and service to the Legal Aid and Defender Program.
