Meet Deborah Jordy
Deborah Jordy was elected to the Bonfils-Stanton Foundation board in 2015. She is the Executive Director of Scientific & Cultural Facilities District, that distributes funds from a 1/10 of 1% sales and use tax to cultural facilities throughout the seven-county Denver, Colorado metropolitan area. Prior to SCFD, Deborah served as Executive Director of Colorado Business Committee for the Arts (CBCA). Deborah has played a prominent role in Colorado’s thriving art scene for the last 30 years, serving on the Denver Mayor’s Commission on Cultural Affairs, the Board of Directors of the Governor’s Residence Preservation Fund, Arts for Colorado, the Colorado Nonprofit Association and the Stapleton Public Arts Advisory Committee. She devoted 13 years as an assistant and associate curator at the Denver Art Museum, then served as Executive Director of the Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities and led the Cherokee Ranch and Castle Foundation. She currently serves on the National Board of Directors of Americans for the Arts. In 2014, Deborah received the DAM KEY Award from the Denver Art Museum. She has one son and one grandson and enjoys many of Denver’s cultural offerings in her free time.
