Meet Rachel

Rachel Basye became Executive Director of Arts Students League of Denver in March 2012. Before then, she served 18 years with the Colorado Housing and Finance Authority, a quasi-governmental organization which finances housing and business throughout Colorado. Rachel is an active board member and volunteer for multiple nonprofit organizations and was the founding CEO of a local nonprofit providing art activities to low-income and homeless youth and families. Rachel is also a visual artist, working in printmaking and book arts. She was a founding member of The Mix Artist Cooperative at Knoll Gallery and exhibits her work throughout Colorado. She is a mayoral appointee to the Denver Commission on Cultural Affairs. Rachel has a Master’s in Public Administration and a Bachelor’s in International Affairs and German.
