Meet John E. Repine, M.D.
Dr. John E. Repine was elected to the Bonfils-Stanton Foundation board in 2001. John is the James J. Waring Professor of Medicine, Pediatrics and Surgery and Director of the Webb-Waring Center at the University of Colorado. As a Principal Investigator, he has helped obtain more than $30 million in NIH grants including a Specialized Centers of Research (SCOR) for Acute Lung Injury. In addition to being the BSF’s 1995 Science and Medicine Award recipient, he is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha, a former Trustee of the Kent Denver School, and was an Established Investigator of the American Heart Association. He is also a member of many professional and honorary societies for medicine, chemistry and biology. John graduated from the University of Wisconsin in Madison with a B.S. in Chemistry and obtained his M.D. from the University of Minnesota. He and his wife Karen Repine, M.D., have six children. John enjoys golf, skiing and youth sports.
