Points of View

My wife Sharon and I collect modern and contemporary art, Western American art and 20th century American realism. We also support the performing and visual arts through annual and special contributions. We love to visit Denver’s museums!
The community only functions well with strong leaders and they must continually be refreshed.
Bonfils-Stanton Foundation is a thought leader and major contributor to the arts in Colorado. I like being on the cutting (some say bleeding) edge.

Meet J. Landis “Lanny” Martin

J. Landis “Lanny” Martin is a patron of the arts and avid art collector. He joined the Bonfils-Stanton Foundation board in 2001 and has been Chairman since 2005. He is also the CEO and founder of Platte River Equity, a company he founded in 2006. Prior to that, Lanny served more than 20 years in senior management positions with publicly held companies including Titanium Metals Corporation, which supplied the titanium to Frank Gehry’s Guggenheim Bilbao. Lanny holds a J.D. degree, cum laude, from Northwestern University School of Law and a B.S. in Business Administration from Northwestern University. He has also served in the U.S. Army. His dedication to Denver-based arts organizations is extensive and currently he also serves as Chairman of the Denver Art Museum board. For many years, Lanny was closely involved with the Central City Opera House Association, and more recently helped to bring the Clyfford Still Museum to Denver.
